Eligibility Criteria — C-DOT Scientist B/C 2026

Educational Qualification

  • PQC Domain: B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech or PhD in ECE, Computer Science, Electrical, EI, IT, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Robotics or allied technical areas.
  • InfoSec Domain: B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech in CS/IT/Cybersecurity/Information Security/ECE, or M.Sc. in CS/IT/Cybersecurity/Cyber Forensics.

A minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) is mandatory throughout academics from Class 10 onwards for all candidates.

Age Limit (as on 03 May 2026)

Maximum 35 years. Standard age relaxation applies — SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwD: 10 years, Ex-Servicemen: as per Government of India norms.

Work Experience

  • PQC roles: Minimum 2 years of relevant industry/research experience (waived for PhD holders).

Selected candidates will be placed at Pay Level 10 (₹50,400–₹1,60,800) or Pay Level 11 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500) of the 7th CPC, depending on qualification and experience. In addition to basic pay, candidates receive Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, Medical Allowance and other admissible allowances. Estimated in-hand monthly compensation is approximately ₹70,000–₹1,30,000+, varying with location, pay level and family status.
