A note printed on every page says “NQ” in the Part B column means the candidate could not qualify Part A (the Punjabi qualifying paper). For Matron, Sports SC (R&O) has zero seats and no Freedom Fighter row is listed. Reservation benefit is only for residents of Punjab. Ex-servicemen seats go first to ex-servicemen themselves, and only if none are available, to their dependents.

The number of candidates called to counselling is decided by the competent authority keeping the category-wise vacancies in mind. On a tie in marks, the older candidate ranks higher, then the higher percentage in the required qualification, then higher Matric marks.
