The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has released the much-awaited CEPTAM-11 Advertisement for the recruitment of Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-A (Tech-A) posts. A total of 764 vacancies have been announced under the Defence Research & Development Organisation Technical Cadre (DRTC). Eligibility Criteria for DRDO CEPTAM 11 Recruitment
Candidates must fulfill the specific educational and age criteria as on the crucial date of eligibility (01.01.2026).
Educational Qualification
- For STA-B: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) OR Diploma in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science/Allied Subjects from a recognized AICTE institute.
- Note: Candidates with higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc/Ph.D etc. are NOT eligible.
- For Tech-A: 10th Class Pass AND ITI Certification in the required trade from a recognized institute.
- Note: Candidates with higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech/Diploma etc. are NOT eligible.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years

Selection Process Explained
The selection methodology involves a two-tier Computer Based Test (CBT) for both posts.
For Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B):
- Tier-I (CBT) – Screening:
- Questions/Marks: 150 Questions / 150 Marks.
- Subjects: General Science, General English, Quantitative Aptitude/General Maths, General Intelligence & Reasoning.
- Tier-II (CBT) – Provisional Selection:
- Questions/Marks: 120 Questions / 120 Marks.
- Subjects: Test specific to the subject/discipline of the post code.
For Technician-A (Tech-A):
- Tier-I (CBT) – Screening:
- Questions/Marks: 150 Questions / 150 Marks.
- Subjects: General Science, General English, Quantitative Aptitude/General Maths, General Intelligence & Reasoning.
- Tier-II (CBT) – Provisional Selection:
- Questions/Marks: 120 Questions / 120 Marks.
- Subjects: Test specific to the subject/trade of the post code.
- Trade Test: Qualifying in nature. Practical skill test in the relevant trade (ITI Level).
Note: There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both Tier-I and Tier-II.
