HAL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before appearing for the walk-in selection.

General Eligibility (Applicable to All Candidates)

  • Candidates should possess their Degree/Diploma from a recognized University/Board in India on or after 01/08/2020. This means candidates who passed their qualifying exam before this date are not eligible.
  • Candidates who have undergone, are currently undergoing, or have already registered for an NATS contract under the Apprenticeship Act elsewhere are not eligible to apply. 
  • Candidates with one or more years of work experience are not eligible for this apprenticeship program. 

Educational Qualification

  • Engineering Graduate Apprentices:
    • Must have successfully passed a Degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) in the disciplines specified in the table above from a recognized University in India. 
    • The degree must have been obtained on or after 01/08/2020. 
  • Diploma Apprentices:
    • Must have successfully passed a Diploma in Engineering (3 Years Diploma holders & Courses Approved by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE)) in the disciplines specified from a recognized Board/University in India. 
    • The diploma must have been obtained on or after 01/08/2020. 
  • Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:
    • Must have successfully passed a Degree (BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BCA) in the subjects specified in the table above from a recognized University in India. 
    • The degree must have been obtained on or after 01/08/2020.

HAL Apprentice Salary & Benefits 2025 (Stipend)

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend during their one-year training period. This stipend is a great way to support yourself while gaining invaluable industry experience.

  • Stipend Details:
    • Engineering Graduate Apprentices (BE/B.Tech): ₹9000/- per month. 
    • Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices (BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BCA): ₹9000/- per month. 
    • Diploma Apprentices: ₹8000/- per month. 
  • The stipend is payable for the entire 12 months of the apprenticeship training.

    • Subsidized Canteen Facility: Apprentices will have access to a subsidized canteen facility during their training period.

HAL Apprentice Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the HAL Apprenticeship Training is straightforward and based on a walk-in model.

  • Walk-in Selection: Eligible candidates are required to appear for a walk-in selection process at the specified venue on the scheduled dates.
  • First Come, First Serve Basis: The selection is primarily based on a “first come, first serve” basis for candidates who report between 08:00 Hrs and 14:00 Hrs and meet the eligibility criteria. 
  • Document Verification: The core of the selection process involves the verification of original documents submitted by the candidates. It is crucial to carry all necessary documents as listed in the notification.
  • Engagement: Candidates who successfully clear the document verification and meet all criteria will be engaged as apprentices for one year.

How to Apply for HAL Apprentice Recruitment 2025

Interested and eligible candidates must follow a two-step process: NATS portal registration followed by attending the walk-in selection.

Step 1: NATS Portal Registration

  • All aspiring candidates must first register themselves as a “STUDENT” on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. The official NATS portal link for registration is: this

  • After successful registration, take a printout of the registration form. This copy must be brought to the walk-in selection. 

Step 2: Prepare Your Documents

  • Gather all original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies of each.

  3. Marks Sheets for All Semesters:
    • For Engineering Graduates: Degree marks sheets from 1st to 8th semester. In case of lateral entry, marks sheets from 3rd to 8th semester are required.
