HOCL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be considered for the HOCL Apprentice training.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in the years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
  • A minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination is required for General/OBC/EWS candidates.
  • For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, the minimum mark requirement is relaxed to 50%.
  • Graduate Apprentice: A B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil, Fire & Safety, Chemical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Technician Apprentice: A Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering, OR a Diploma in Commercial Practice.
  • Trade Apprentice (ITI): An ITI (NCVT or SCVT) certificate in Machinist, Mechanic Diesel, Turner, Fitter, Electrician, Welder, or Instrument Mechanic.
  • Trade Apprentice (B.Sc): A B.Sc degree in Chemistry for the Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) trade.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be above 18 years old as of 1st November 2025.
  • The notification does not specify an upper age limit. Age relaxations for reserved categories will be as per Government of India directives.

HOCL Apprentice Salary and Benefits (Monthly Stipend)

Selected candidates for the HOCL Apprentice training will receive a fixed monthly amount called a stipend. This is not a full salary but financial support provided during the one-year training period. The stipend is paid as per the Apprentices Act and includes the government’s share.

The stipend structure is as follows:

  • Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,300/- per month
  • Technician Apprentices: ₹10,900/- per month

HOCL Apprentice Selection Process Explained

The selection process for the HOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025 is designed to be fair and merit-based. It consists of two main stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting Based on Marks

First, HOCL will review all applications and shortlist candidates. This shortlisting will be done based on the percentage of marks you obtained in your qualifying examination (B.Tech, Diploma, ITI, or B.Sc). Candidates with higher percentages will be ranked higher.

Stage 2: Document Verification & Further Assessment

The candidates who are shortlisted in Stage 1 will be called for the next round. This round will include:

  • Verification of Original Certificates: You must bring all your original documents (education, caste, ID, etc.) for verification.
  • Further Assessment: After successful document verification, candidates will undergo a Written Test, Skill Test, or an Interview, as decided by HOCL.

For Graduate & Technician Apprentices (NATS Portal)

  1. Go to the official NATS portal.
  2. If you are not registered, click on “Student Register” and complete the application form to get your unique Enrolment Number.
  3. If you are already registered, log in with your User ID and Password.
  4. In the portal, search for “HINDUSTAN ORGANIC CHEMICALS LIMITED” under the “Apply against advertised vacancies” section.
  5. Select the vacancy you are eligible for and click “Apply”.

For Trade Apprentices (ITI/B.Sc) (Apprenticeship India Portal)

  1. Go to the official portal.
  2. If not registered, click “Register” -> “Candidate” and complete the registration and Aadhaar verification to get your Enrollment Number. (Wait for at least one day for verification).
  3. Once registered, log in.
