For Research Associate, the listed subjects are Bioinformatics, Life Science, Biotechnology, Agricultural Statistics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Agricultural Science and Biostatistics, or equivalent. For Senior Research Fellow, the same list applies without Agricultural Science. Every degree must be from a recognised university or equivalent.
Two lines in the Research Associate row are easy to miss. The 3 years of research experience must be shown by a fellowship, associateship, training or other engagement, and the research paper must be in an SCI journal or a NAAS-rated journal with a rating of 4.0 or more. If you hold a Ph.D. in a listed subject, these two conditions do not apply to you.
For Senior Research Fellow, the second route needs NET and 2 years of research experience, and it is meant for a Master’s in basic sciences after a 3-year Bachelor’s. Keep your mark sheets handy to show which route you are using.
Examinations by central bodies such as CSIR-UGC, ICMR, ICAR, DAE, DST, DBT and GATE are counted as NET for this notice.
Desirable Skills
These are not compulsory. Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow: knowledge of genomics or bioinformatics (proteomics too for Research Associate), and programming in LINUX, R, Perl, Java or PHP. Young Professional posts: R or Python, and basic AI/ML. Project Associate-1: tool development, Linux, and MySQL.

The pay table prints one Young Professional-II row and does not list Young Professional-II (IT) separately, and it mentions no HRA for it. Check the notice PDF if you are applying for the IT post.
The jobs start for one year or till the project ends, whichever is earlier. They can be extended year by year till the project is complete, depending on your performance.
This is a contract job, so it carries no regular ICAR appointment, and the notice says so clearly. The Project Associate-1 pay depends on whether you cleared NET, GATE or a national-level exam by a central body, so attach that scorecard.
