IOCL Pipelines Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Technician Apprentice, Trade Apprentice and Data Entry Operator
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released the Pipelines Division Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notice. It engages around 500 apprentices in Technician Apprentice, Trade Apprentice and Data Entry Operator trades at locations across five regions. This replaces the earlier January 2026 round, so ignore the old details. Diploma holders, graduates and 12th pass candidates can all find a trade here, and the notification says there is no written test or personal interview.
Applications run from 6 November 2026 to 5 December 2026, and the cut-off date for age and qualification is 30 November 2026. The seats cover Technician Apprentice (Mechanical), Technician Apprentice (Electrical), Technician Apprentice (Telecommunication & Instrumentation), Trade Apprentice (Assistant-Human Resource), Trade Apprentice (Accountant), Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices) and Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders). Pick your trade based on your qualification at the time of application. A Mechanical or Automobile Diploma fits the Mechanical trade, an Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Diploma fits the Electrical trade, and an Electronics or Instrumentation Diploma fits Telecommunication & Instrumentation. Full-time graduates without a barred higher degree can try Assistant-HR; Accountant needs Commerce. If you passed 12th and are not a graduate, the two Data Entry Operator trades are your route, and the Domestic one also needs the skill certificate. Choose carefully, because you can apply for one trade code only.

Age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC (NCL) applies to candidates considered against reserved positions. The minimum qualification marks are also relaxed by 5% for SC/ST/PwBD on reserved positions.
Trades Suitable for PwBD Candidates
The trades suit persons with benchmark disabilities of at least 40%, only for the disabilities the notice lists. Technician Apprentice trades list Leprosy cured, Dwarfism and Acid Attack victims. Trade Apprentice (Accountant) and both Data Entry Operator trades list Hard of Hearing, Musculoskeletal (one leg, both legs), Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism and Acid Attack Victims. Trade Apprentice (Assistant-HR) lists Low Vision, Hard of Hearing, Musculoskeletal (one arm, one leg, both legs, one arm and one leg), Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism and Acid Attack Victims. Multiple disabilities from among the listed ones also count. The disability certificate must follow Rule 18(1) and 20 of the RPwD Rules, 2017, in Form V, VI or VII, and a PwBD candidate must be within the normal range of all other physical standards.
What Is IOCL Apprentice Stipend 2026?
The notification gives no rupee figure. The stipend is payable per month as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992/2019 and the Corporation’s guidelines. Apart from the stipend, no other benefit such as accommodation, HRA, conveyance or medical facility is admissible, so plan your own stay near the training location. After the 12 months, IOCL has no obligation to offer you a job.

The notice states there shall be no written test or personal interview. If you have a CGPA or letter grade, you must upload a Board/University certificate giving the equivalent percentage, or your candidature will not be considered. Candidates also give three preferences for place of training, but allotment is based on merit.

Verification of originals is done before joining, and a link is sent to your registered email to choose your place of verification and three training places. Carry the original and a self-attested copy of each document. Missing any of them can cost you the seat.

An OBC candidate in the creamy layer is not entitled to OBC reservation benefits, so should apply as UR and meet the UR age limit. SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates applying for an Unreserved seat are judged by General category standards. If an EWS seat in a trade cannot be filled by EWS candidates, it may go to unreserved candidates on merit.

Apply for one Trade Code only. Applying for more than one gets every application rejected, and one mobile number and email can be used by one candidate only. Part-II is the final submission and cannot be changed afterwards. Incomplete applications, other modes of application, late applications and canvassing of any kind lead to rejection or disqualification. Keep your Class X certificate (the only proof of date of birth), mark sheets, caste certificate and medical fitness certificate ready for verification. A false or doctored document cancels your candidature, and if it is found even after engagement, the engagement is liable to be terminated. No correspondence is entertained on the Management’s decisions. Your application is provisional, so mere submission or empanelment gives no right to engagement, and the Management’s decision on eligibility and selection is final. Keep the same email and mobile number active for the whole apprenticeship period, and use the queries email of your region only for matters the advertisement has not already answered.
