Eligibility Criteria for IRCON Executive (Civil) Post

Educational Qualification (as on 01.05.2025)

Candidates must possess a Full-time Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with not less than 60% marks or equivalent grade.
The degree must be from a reputed Institute/University approved by AICTE.

If a consolidated mark sheet provides the percentage, that will be considered. Otherwise, the average of all semesters/years will be calculated.
For CGPA/OGPA/DGPA scores:
- If the university doesn’t provide a conversion formula, a minimum of 6 on a 10-point scale is considered 60%. Scores on other scales will be prorated.
- If conversion is provided, candidates must indicate the equivalent percentage as per university norms and furnish a certificate if required during verification.

Age Limit (as on 01.05.2025)

The maximum age limit for the Executive/Civil post is 33 years.
Age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India guidelines, subject to fulfillment of other criteria.

Post-Qualification Experience Criteria (as on 01.05.2025)

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the execution of Highway projects/Railway Track projects.
This experience must be gained in construction CPSES (Central Public Sector Enterprises) that have a turnover of not less than ₹1000 crores in any of the last two Financial Years (2023-24 or 2024-25).
The experience must be as a regular/contractual employee on the roll of the CPSE.
Crucially, Teaching/Consultancy/Training/Freelancing experience will NOT be treated as relevant experience.
Experience certificates from CPSEs must clearly indicate the nature of work, specifically the execution of Highway/Railway Track projects.
Proof of the CPSE’s turnover for FY 2023-24 or 2024-25 is also required.

Medical Standards

Candidates must be in sound health and free from color blindness.
No relaxation in health standards will be permitted.

Selection Process for IRCON Executive (Civil)

The selection process for the Executive/Civil post will be rigorous and merit-based:

Eligibility Screening: Applications will be screened based on the declared eligibility criteria.
Written Test and/or Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for a selection process which may comprise a Written Test and/or an Interview. The exact nature of the selection process will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.

- Valid ID proof (PAN Card/Driving License/Voter ID card/Aadhar Card).
- List all enclosed documents in section 20 of the application form.
Sign the Application: The application form must be duly signed by the candidate.
Superscribe the Envelope: Send the application in a sealed envelope, clearly superscribing: “Application for regular post of Executive/Civil vide Advt. No. 12/2025”.

Crucial General Instructions for Applicants

Candidates working in Government, Semi-Government Organizations/PSUs, and Autonomous Bodies should apply through the proper channel or provide an NOC at the time of the interview. If unable to do so, an undertaking to produce a proper relieving order if selected is required at the interview, otherwise, they will not be allowed to join. Pay protection will be given in both cases.
