IREL Executive 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification
- Engineering posts: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mining, Mineral, Instrumentation or Computer Science/IT. A strong engineering background is required.
- Geology posts: M.Sc in Geology / Applied Geology.
- Finance posts: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA, or B.Com with MBA (Finance).
- Medical posts: MBBS from a recognised university.
- Legal posts: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB).
- HR / Marketing / CS posts: MBA/PG in HR, Marketing, or ICSI membership for Company Secretary. A post graduate qualification is needed for most of these.
Experience Required
All posts require prior experience — from a minimum of 2 years (E-1 Assistant Manager) up to 20 years for the General Manager (E-7) post. There are no fresher/trainee posts in this recruitment.
Age Limit
The upper age is calculated as on 10 August 2026 and increases with the grade. In no case can the age (including all relaxations) exceed 56 years.
