Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. has released four separate advertisements for 1,397 vacancies: Probationary Officer in J&K (323) and Ladakh (20), and Banking Associate in J&K (1,033) and Ladakh (21). Any graduate can apply, but only a domicile of the same Union Territory as the advertisement. The Probationary Officer post starts at a basic pay of Rs 48,480 and the Banking Associate post at Rs 24,050.
The online window runs from 7 November to 26 November 2026, and the fee must also be paid by that date. Age Limit
The age is counted as on 1 January 2026: minimum 20 years, maximum 30 years, so you must be born between 1 January 1996 and 1 January 2006 (both dates included). General and EWS get no relaxation, except on the Ladakh PO notice (below).

Three points often missed. SC/ST/SEBC relaxation is added to the PwD relaxation. The Ladakh Probationary Officer notice alone gives a one-time extra 5 years to all candidates (recruitment years 2025 and 2026), with age capped at 56 years after relaxation; the Ladakh Banking Associate notice does not carry it. The Ladakh PO notice prints 30, then adds this clause. Apprentices who finished apprenticeship with J&K Bank also get 2.5% of the maximum marks as additional marks in the Banking Associate exam.

A selected Probationary Officer must join within 45 days of the provisional appointment letter and stays on probation for 2 years. Confirmation depends on a qualifying evaluation examination (minimum 40% General, 35% reserved). The officer signs a Rs 2 lakh bond for 2 years of service. A Banking Associate joins within 45 days, is on probation for 6 months (the Bank may extend it by up to 3 months) and signs a Rs 1 lakh bond for 6 months.

You must clear each Preliminary test; the cut-off is set by IBPS with the Bank. 10 times the vacancies in each category go to Mains and 3 times to Interview, on Mains marks only. The Interview is for 100 marks, minimum 40% (35% reserved). The aggregate minimum in Preliminary and in Mains is 40% General and 35% reserved.
Banking Associate Exam Pattern
The single online examination has the same three tests as the PO Preliminary: English Language (30 questions, 30 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions, 30 marks) and Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 40 marks), 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes. You must clear each test, and the minimum aggregate is 40% General and 35% reserved.
Both posts carry a penalty of one fourth of the marks for every wrong answer in the objective tests; blank answers carry none. Ties are broken by date of birth, with the older candidate placed first. Exam Centres
You choose 6 centres; at least 3 must be outside J&K (J&K notices) or at least 4 outside Ladakh (Ladakh notices). Inside J&K: Pulwama, Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla, Samba. Inside Ladakh: Leh, Kargil. The Bank may allot a centre you did not choose.
