Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Forest Guard & Field Guard: 12th Pass (Higher Secondary / Intermediate)
- Assistant Jail Superintendent: Bachelor’s Degree (any stream) + 12th Pass
- Candidates must have passed from a recognized board / university
- Medium of study (Hindi / English) does not matter — all are eligible
Age
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years
- Age as on: 01.01.2026 (reference date for calculating age)
- Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC candidates as per MP government norms
Physical Standards
- Height: 163 cm for males, 150 cm for females
- Chest: 79 cm with 5 cm expansion (for males only)
- Physical Fitness Test: Candidates must pass a PFT after written exam

- Passing: Candidates must score minimum cut-off marks (varies by category)
Stage 2: Physical Test (PFT)
- Held only for candidates who qualify the written exam
- Includes running, long jump, high jump, and rope climbing
- Different standards for males and females
- Failure in any event means disqualification
Stage 3: Document Verification
- Candidates shortlisted after PFT must verify their original certificates
- Documents checked: 12th mark-sheet, birth certificate, caste certificate, address proof
- Discrepancies can lead to cancellation of candidature
Stage 4: Medical Examination
- Final stage — only for candidates cleared in all previous stages
- Medical exam checks fitness for the job role
