PSSSB has issued a corrigendum notice dated 26.12.2025 regarding Advt No. 14/2025.

- Selection Process Update: The notice clarifies the selection procedure:
- Punjabi Language Test: A mandatory qualifying written test of Matriculation level will be conducted. Candidates must score at least 50% marks. This test will be Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.
- Stenography Skill Test: Candidates who qualify the language test will undergo the Punjabi Stenography Skill Test.
- Speed: 80 words per minute.
- Content: Two paragraphs of 200 words each (Total 400 words).
- Transcription Rate: 15 words per minute.
- Mistakes Allowed: 8% mistakes are forgiven.
- Merit List: The merit list will be prepared in ascending order of mistakes in the Stenography Skill Test (from 0 to 32 mistakes).
- Tie-Breaking: If merit is equal, the candidate older in age will be preferred. If age is also same, higher percentage in educational qualification will be considered. If that is also tied, higher marks in Matriculation will be the deciding factor.

Eligibility Criteria for Stenotypist
Candidates must fulfill the following educational and age criteria as on 01.01.2025:
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree: From a recognized University or Institution.
- Punjabi Stenography: Must qualify a test in Punjabi Stenography at a speed specified by the Board/Appointing Authority.
- Computer Course: Possess at least 120 Hours course with hands-on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing applications from a Govt. recognized institution (ISO 9001 certified).
- OR Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ Level certificate of DOEACC.
- Punjabi Language: Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a subject.
Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025)
- General: 18 to 37 Years.
- SC/BC (Punjab): Up to 42 Years.
- State/Central Govt Employees: Up to 45 Years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per rules (Period of service + 3 years).

Salary and Pay Scale
Selected candidates for the post of Stenotypist will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) matrix.
