Eligibility Criteria for PSSSB Vacancy 2025
Candidates must fulfill the specific educational and age criteria as on 01.01.2025. Note that passing Punjabi at Matriculation level is mandatory for all posts.
Educational Qualification
- Hostel Superintendent cum PTI:
- Matriculation (2nd Division) or 10+2 passed.
- Certificate in Physical Education (C.P.Ed) (Diploma preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the line.
- Storekeeper:
- Matriculation (2nd Class) or 10+2 passed.
- National Trade Certificate (NTC) / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in any Engineering Trade.
- 1 year experience in Storekeeping in Engineering Stores.
- Librarian:
- Bachelor in Library & Information Science + 1 year experience OR
- B.A./B.Sc. + Diploma in Library Science + 3 years experience.
- Autoclave Operator / Machine Operator:
- Matric or 10+2.
- 2 Years Certificate in Mechanical Trade from ITI.
- Junior Technician (Civil):
- National Trade Certificate in Civil Draftsman trade OR Diploma in Civil Engineering with 50% marks.
- Junior Technician (Electrical):
- National Trade Certificate in Electrician trade OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks.
Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025)

Salary and Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) levels notified by the Punjab Government:
- Hostel Superintendent / Librarian: Pay Level-5 (Initial Pay ₹ 29,200/-).
- Autoclave Operator: Pay Level-4 (Initial Pay ₹ 25,500/-).
- Storekeeper / Junior Technician (Civil/Electrical): Pay Level-2 (Initial Pay ₹ 19,900/-).
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a competitive written examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Written Exam: Candidates must secure at least 40% marks (minimum qualifying marks) to be considered for the merit list.
- Punjabi Qualifying Test: A mandatory qualifying test of Punjabi Language (Matric standard) will be conducted. Candidates must score at least 50% marks in this test to have their main exam checked.
- Counseling: Based on merit, candidates will be called for document verification.
