Eligibility Criteria for RCF Apprentice Recruitment 2025
Candidates must fulfill the specific educational and age criteria as on 07.01.2026.
Educational Qualification
- Essential: The candidate must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- Technical: Must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
Age Limit (as on 07.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 15 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years

Stipend and Training
- Stipend: Selected candidates will be paid a stipend as per the extant rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time.
- Training Duration: One Year.
- Note: No hostel accommodation will be provided.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Merit List prepared from the data provided by the candidates.
- Merit Calculation: The merit list will be prepared based on the simple average of percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50%) and ITI marks in the relevant trade.
- Formula: (Percentage in Matric + Percentage in ITI) / 2.
- Tie-Breaking: Older candidates will be preferred. If dates of birth are same, candidates who passed matriculation earlier will be considered first.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and medical fitness test.
