RRB NTPC UG Recruitment 2026 Notification: Posts, Eligibility, Age Limit, Fee and Apply Steps
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the detailed CEN No. 07/2026 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate). There are 1,688 vacancies in four clerk posts: Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Trains Clerk. The initial pay is ₹21,700 (Level 3) or ₹19,900 (Level 2). If you are 12th pass, this is one of the biggest chances in the Railway Jobs list this year.
Don’t worry about the confusing short notice from September. This detailed notice fixes everything: the online form is open from 15 October 2026 and closes on 13 November 2026 (23:59 hours). The RRBs recruit for Indian Railways through one common notice. This CEN is for the Under Graduate level, so a degree is not needed. Posts are spread over 21 RRBs across India, and you apply to only one of them.

What Is the Eligibility for RRB NTPC UG Recruitment 2026? Qualification, Age and Medical Rules
Educational Qualification
All four posts need 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. The 50% condition is not insisted upon for SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-servicemen candidates and for those who hold a qualification higher than 12th. Age Limit
Age is counted as on 01.01.2027. You must be born between 02.01.1997 and 01.01.2009 (both dates inclusive) if you are UR/EWS. Relaxation is not cumulative; you get only the highest one.

SC, ST and OBC (NCL) candidates applying against UR vacancies get no age relaxation. Ex-servicemen need at least six months continuous service after attestation to claim their relaxation.

The notice lists no allowances, so we do not add any. It says selected candidates will get only a stipend during training, wherever training is prescribed. Appointment is also subject to the medical test, certificate checks and character verification.

Selection is strictly on merit through three steps. RRBs also keep the right to add more CBTs, DV or medical rounds.

PwBD candidates who can use a scribe get 120 minutes. The question paper comes in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages. Minimum qualifying marks are below, and the same applies to ExSM and PwBD as per their community. PwBD candidates get a 2-mark relaxation if seats stay short.

How to Apply Online for RRB NTPC UG 2026?
Keep your Aadhaar or DigiLocker, mobile number, active email ID and a scanned signature ready. At Document Verification you will need originals of your educational, age and category certificates. Serving employees also need an NOC.
- Open the unified official RRB website (link in Essential Links below). Create an account, or log in with your old credentials from earlier RRB CENs. Mobile number and email cannot be changed later.
- Verify your identity with DigiLocker or Aadhaar. Other photo IDs lead to stricter checks at every stage.
- Fill the application for CEN 07/2026. Choose only one RRB and rank your zone and post preferences. Options once given are final.
- Capture your live photo on the form (no old photo upload). Upload your signature in black ink, running handwriting, JPG/JPEG, 30 to 49 KB, at least 140 x 60 pixels.
- SC/ST candidates can upload their certificate (PDF, under 400 KB) to get a free sleeper-class train pass.
- Pay the fee online by 15.11.2026. The application is accepted only after fee payment is confirmed.
- Save the confirmation. To correct details later, use the modification window from 16.11.2026 to 25.11.2026.

Pay online only, through internet banking, debit/credit card or UPI. Refund goes only to an Aadhaar-seeded bank account of those who appear in the 1st Stage CBT; rejected or incomplete applications get none. EBC means family income below ₹50,000 and gives only a fee concession, not job reservation. Minority candidates must bring an affidavit at DV.
