- For Level-2 posts: represented the country in a Category-B championship, OR at least 3rd position in a Category-C championship, in Senior / Youth / Junior National Championships, in the National Games or in an All India Inter University Championship, OR 1st position in a senior Federation Cup
- For Level-1 posts: represented the country in a Category-C championship, OR at least 3rd position in a senior Federation Cup, OR represented a State with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships
