Eligibility Criteria for SJVN Apprenticeship
Candidates must meet the specific domicile, age, and educational requirements.
Domicile Requirement
- Mandatory: Only candidates who are domiciles of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentice: Full-time 4 Years Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the relevant branch from an AICTE recognized University/Institute.
- Diploma Apprentice: Full-time 3 Years Diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch from an AICTE/Board of Technical Education recognized Institute.
- ITI Apprentice: Matriculation (10th) with regular full-time ITI course in the respective trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
- Note: Result awaited candidates or those who have already undergone apprenticeship are NOT eligible.
Age Limit (As on 15.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Relaxation: SC/ST (5 Years), OBC-NCL (3 Years), PwBD (10 Years).
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend during the one-year training period.
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000/- per month.
- Diploma Apprentices: ₹13,500/- per month.
- ITI Apprentices: ₹12,500/- per month.
Selection Process Explained
There will be NO Interview. Selection is based purely on merit calculated from marks secured in qualifying examinations.
- Graduate Apprentice Merit: 10th (20%) + 12th/Diploma (20%) + Engineering Degree (60%).
- Diploma Apprentice Merit: 10th (30%) + Diploma (70%).
- ITI Apprentice Merit: 10th (30%) + ITI (70%).
- Preference: 25% seats are reserved for Project Affected Families (PAF) and Project Affected Areas (PAA).
