Eligibility Criteria for THDC Apprentice 2026
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility norms:
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentice: Full-time B.E./B.Tech/BBA in the relevant branch from a recognized Institute/University (Regular candidates of 2023, 2024, 2025). Minimum 65% marks for Gen/OBC/EWS and passing marks for SC/ST/PwD.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Full-time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch (Regular candidates of 2023, 2024, 2025).
- Trade Apprentice: 10th Pass + ITI (Regular) in the relevant trade from a recognized institute (Passed in 2023 or later).
Note:
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship or have more than 1 year of work experience are NOT eligible.
- Only Uttarakhand Domicile candidates are eligible for Trade Apprentices. For Graduate/Diploma, candidates from Uttarakhand and other states can apply, but preference will be given to Uttarakhand domicile holders.
Age Limit (as on 31/01/2026)

- Maximum Age: 30 Years (General/EWS)

Salary / Stipend
Stipend will be paid as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules.
Selection Process
- Merit-Based: There will be no interview. Selection will be based on the merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Degree/Diploma/ITI) and age seniority (in case of tie).
- Preference: Priority will be given to candidates having Uttarakhand Domicile.
