The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released Advertisement No. 08/2026, opening 48 vacancies across five different central ministries. If you are a qualified professional — a doctor, a law graduate, a scientist, or a subject specialist — this is a great chance to join the Government of India with a strong Pay Level 7 to Level 11 salary. Many of these posts are with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. You can find more such openings on our UPSC jobs page.

The online application window closes on 31 July 2026. These are permanent, gazetted positions based mainly in New Delhi with all-India service liability. Don’t worry if the notification looks long — in this article we will explain the posts, vacancies, eligibility, salary, selection process, and the step-by-step application method in very simple words.
