The two Assistant Executive Engineer posts are under the Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships, so the selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere along the Indian coast, including the Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands. Educational Qualification

- Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering, plus two years’ supervisory experience in design, maintenance and construction of structural and reinforced concrete works. This single vacancy is reserved for OBC — General, EWS, SC and ST candidates are not eligible against it.
- Assistant Executive Engineer (Electronics): Degree in Telecommunications / Electronics / Electronics and Communications Engineering, plus two years’ supervisory experience in radio aids to navigation.
- Assistant Director (Engineering): Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute, plus two years’ experience in design, construction and maintenance of civil engineering works including harbour engineering works, or in maintenance and operation of cranes, diesel locos, marine engines and ancillary machines in a mechanical or marine workshop.
- Superintendent Translation (Hindi Branch): Master’s Degree in Law plus two years’ relevant experience (State Judicial Service, legal affairs in Government or PSU, legal practice, teaching law, or translation and drafting of statutes into Hindi) — or a Bachelor’s Degree in Law plus four years’ such experience. You must also have passed Secondary School or higher through Hindi medium, or offered Hindi as a subject. If you are claiming the route as a practising advocate or pleader, the notification asks for a longer track record — five years’ practice with an LLM, or seven years’ practice with an LLB.
- Research Officer: Master’s Degree in Geography, Geology, Applied Geology, Geoinformatics, GIS & Remote Sensing, Geomatics or Geospatial Technology, having studied Geography, Geology or Applied Geology in all years at bachelor’s level, plus five years’ experience in geographical and cartographical teaching or research involving data collection and map preparation.
- Horticulture Development Officer: Bachelor in Horticulture Science or Bachelor in Agriculture Science. Soil Conservation Assistant: BSc Agriculture or BSc Horticulture, or BSc / MSc Soil Science, or BE / BTech in Agricultural Engineering. Both posts are fully ST-reserved (Horticulture Development Officer: ST-04; Soil Conservation Assistant: ST-07) in addition to the Ladakh domicile requirement.
- If you are already in regular Government service, you must submit a declaration that you have informed your Head of Office or Department in writing that you have applied.
