Every qualification must be held as on the date of the Detailed Notification. For Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector, the degree or diploma is not enough alone. You also need a Motor Driving License, driving experience of not less than 3 years, and a Heavy Transport vehicle endorsement. Where people with 3 years of experience are not available, people with 2 years may be appointed.
Women applying for Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector must hold a Motor Vehicle driving license. If a woman holds only a Light Motor Vehicle license, she must get the Heavy Transport Vehicle endorsement within two years of joining, failing which her services will be terminated without assigning any reasons. Do not miss this line.
For Technical Assistant, candidates with at least one year of practical experience in investigation of mineral deposits, geological mapping, mining or underground water resources will be given preference. It is a preference, not a condition. Graduates can browse more B.Sc and graduate jobs, and engineers and diploma holders can check engineering jobs and diploma jobs.

What Is the Selection Process for APPSC Recruitment 2026?
Every post has a single-level examination only, in online (CBRT) mode. No Screening Test will be held, however many applications come in. If the exam runs in several sessions, the Commission may apply normalisation of marks where it considers this necessary. The exam date is not announced yet.

Each paper is objective type, with 150 questions in 150 minutes. Paper-I is at degree standard, and so is Paper-II for every post except AMVI, whose Automobile Engineering paper is at diploma standard. Each wrong answer costs one-third of the marks for that question. The full exam is worth 450 marks for AMVI, Assistant Director (Mines) and Royalty Inspector, and 300 marks for the other three.
The notifications annex a Computer Proficiency Test scheme (practical, 60 minutes, 100 marks; minimum qualifying marks SC/ST/PBD 30, BC 35, OC 40).
