Educational Qualification

The university must be set up under a Central, State or Provincial Act, or be an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission. For Senior and Junior Accountant, the notification adds a proviso that a person holding any Degree from such a university is also eligible for direct recruitment.
For P.C. 11 and 12 you need the degree and one of the following computer qualifications:
- A pass in one certificate course run by the Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P.: Office Automation, PC Maintenance and Trouble Shooting or Web designing.
- Or a degree such as BCA, B.Sc. (Comp.), B.Com. (Comp.), B.A. (Comp.), or B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Your qualification is judged as on the date of the Detailed Notification, which the Commission calls the crucial date for all aspects. A final-year student should check this date carefully before applying. If you are a graduate, start collecting your degree certificate now.
Age and Physical Requirements
This brief notice does not state the age limit or any age relaxation. These come in the Detailed Notification, so do not guess your eligibility from older Group-II advertisements. For the Prohibition and Excise Sub-Inspector post (P.C. 07), the physical requirements are also given only in the Detailed Notification.

What is the Selection Process for APPSC Group 2 2026?
The notification names a Screening Test, a Main Examination and a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) scheme. The Screening Test is called the Preliminary examination. It is held offline and is objective type, OMR based. The date will be announced in the Detailed Notification. Both the Screening Test and the Main Examination are objective type at degree standard. For each wrong answer, one-third of the marks for that question is deducted. The two Main papers are out of 300 marks in all.
For the CPT, the minimum qualifying marks out of 100 are 30 for SC/ST/PBD, 35 for BCs and 40 for OCs.
