Across all posts, PwBD candidates have 15 reserved seats and Ex-Servicemen 4 (horizontal, within the total). What is the Eligibility for APSSB CHSL 2026?
Educational Qualification
The base qualification for every post is Class 12 (10+2) pass from a recognized board — but the stream and extras differ by post:
- Stockman, Laboratory Assistant, Agriculture Field Assistant (Jr): Class XII with Science (for Laboratory Assistant, a Diploma in Laboratory Technology is desirable, not essential)
- Fishery Demonstrator: Class XII Science with Biology as a subject
- Field Assistant: Class XII with Mathematics or Geography, OR Class XII in any subject plus a Survey course from a Government-recognized ITI
- LDC, DEO, Junior Secretariat Assistant: Class XII in any stream, plus computer typing speed of 35 WPM (10,500 key depressions per hour), plus a minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application recognized by APCTE/AICTE
- Record Keeper/Record Clerk: Class XII plus a 1-year Diploma in Computer Application
- LDC under Sainik Welfare: must be an Ex-Serviceman with at least 10 years’ service as a Combatant, preferably as Clerk
Every 12th-pass job seeker should note the DCA diploma requirement carefully — without the recognized computer diploma, you are not eligible for the clerical posts.

Age is counted as on the closing date (10 August 2026) and varies by post:
