Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)
- Trainee Engineer-I: The upper age limit is 28 years.
- Project Engineer-I: The upper age limit is 32 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) with a minimum of 40% disability: 10 years (in addition to their category-specific relaxation).
BEL Engineer Salary and Financial Benefits
This recruitment offers a highly attractive remuneration package, making it a financially rewarding opportunity. The salary is a consolidated monthly payment that increases annually. BEL Selection Process Explained
The selection process is straightforward and merit-based, designed to identify the most suitable candidates efficiently.
Tier 1: Written Test
- All candidates who pre-register online and meet the eligibility criteria will be called for a Written Test.
- For Trainee Engineer-I: The test will be for 100 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1/4 mark for each incorrect answer.
- For Project Engineer-I: The test will be for 85 marks. There is no negative marking for this post.

Tier 2: Personal Interview (Only for Project Engineer-I)
