Eligibility Criteria for BEL Project Engineer-I Recruitment

Candidates aspiring to join BEL as Project Engineer-I must meet the specified eligibility criteria regarding educational qualifications, age limit, and post-qualification experience as of May 1, 2025.

Educational Qualification:

Applicants must possess a full-time BE/B.Tech course (4 years) with a PASS CLASS from a recognized University/Institution in the following engineering disciplines:
- Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication / Communication Engineering.
- Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Information Science.
Candidates must compulsorily attach their Provisional/Final Degree Certificate as proof of completion of their degree and indication of class and percentage of marks.

Age Limit (as on 01.05.2025):

The upper age limit for General Category candidates is 32 years.
Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: 3 years.
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates with a minimum of 40% disability will receive a 10-year relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to their respective categories.
Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates will adhere to Government directives/guidelines.

Post Qualification Experience (as on 01.05.2025):

Candidates must have a minimum of Two Years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.
Experience in IP Networking and Helpdesk Management is desirable.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in IT Infrastructure Projects, IP Networking, Data Centre Projects, CCTV Projects, Sensors-based IOT Projects, or in the installation, configuration, maintenance, or product support services of any IP-enabled Electronic/Software product.
Important Notes on Experience:
- Only candidates with industrial experience should apply.
- Academic, teaching, or research work experience will not be considered relevant industrial experience.
- Internship or project work placements that were part of the academic curriculum will not be counted as relevant experience.
- Work experience gained before the completion of the relevant minimum essential qualification will not be considered.
- However, one year of completed apprenticeship training will be considered as experience.
- Candidates must possess experience certificates/documents from previous and current employers clearly indicating the period of employment and the post held. The decision of the selection committee regarding industrial experience will be final.

Salary & Benefits for BEL Project Engineer-I

Project Engineer-I personnel will be engaged initially for a period of Three years, which may be extended up to a maximum of one additional year (total 4 years) based on project requirements and individual performance. The consolidated remuneration and benefits are as follows:

Additional Benefits Payable:

Area Allowance: 10% of the consolidated remuneration per month.
Annual Allowance: Rs. 12,000/- per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear charges, etc.

Retention Bonus:

Project Engineers who join as Project Engineer-I and complete an overall tenure of 4 years will be entitled to a Retention Bonus of Rs. 25,000/- for every completed year.1 This total amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- will be payable at the end of the 4-year tenure.

Selected candidates are also required to be covered under a medical insurance scheme (Rs. 2 Lakhs per annum) and a life cover scheme (Rs. 5 Lakhs per annum) at the time of joining.

BEL Project Engineer Selection Process 2025

The selection methodology for the Project Engineer-I post will involve two stages:

Written Test:
- The written test will carry 85% weightage in the selection process.
- The venue for the Written Test will be Ghaziabad.
Interview:
- Candidates who pass the written test will be shortlisted for an interview in a 1:5 ratio based on merit.
- The interview will carry 15% weightage.
- The venue for the Interview will also be Ghaziabad.

The names of candidates shortlisted for the Written Test, Interview, and final selections will be notified on the BEL Company’s website. Please note that Written Test/Interview call letters will be sent through email only. Candidates must possess at least one valid email ID.

Select “State Bank Collect”, accept terms and conditions, and proceed.

Select the payment category: “Recruitment of Project Engineers – I for MILCOM SBU – Bangalore Complex”.
Complete the payment and save/print the SBI Collect e-receipt. The “SBI Collect reference No.” must be entered in the Application Form.
The payment receipt/screenshot must be attached to the application form.
Fees once paid will not be refunded.
