BPSC AEE Selection Process 2025
The selection process for the BPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer will comprise the following stages:
- Written Examination (Objective Type): This will be a competitive examination with a total of 400 marks, consisting of two papers.
- Paper I (100 Marks, 2 hours):
- General Aptitude (50 questions, 50 marks)
- Engineering Mathematics (50 questions, 50 marks)
- Paper II (300 Marks, 2 hours): Subject-specific paper based on the candidate’s engineering discipline (Chemical/Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering) (100 questions, 300 marks).

- Interview (Oral Test): Candidates qualifying the written examination (based on marks obtained and weightage for experience) will be called for an interview, which will carry 50 marks. The number of candidates called for the interview will be two and a half times the number of advertised vacancies. Appearance in the interview is mandatory.
- Document Verification: Candidates will be required to produce original documents for verification at the time of the interview or as specified by the Commission.
- Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination and the interview. In case of a tie in total marks, preference will be given based on marks in the written exam. If marks in the written exam are also equal, preference will be given based on age, and if age is also the same, then by alphabetical order of name in Devanagari script.
