Selected ASI (Technical) candidates will be placed at Pay Level-5 of the Bihar 7th CPC Pay Matrix, which corresponds to a basic pay band of approximately Rs 29,200 to Rs 92,300 per month, plus standard Bihar police allowances.

What is the Selection Process for BPSSC ASI Technical 2026?

BPSSC has structured the selection into four stages. The final merit is determined only on the basis of Paper-2 (Technical) score in the Main Examination — all other stages are either qualifying or used for short-listing.

  1. Preliminary Written Exam — Objective MCQ, 100 marks, 120 minutes. 40 questions on General Knowledge & Current Affairs + 60 questions on the chosen technical group. Qualifying mark 30%; negative marking 0.2 per wrong answer. Shortlisting at 20× vacancies, category-wise on merit.
  2. Main Examination — Paper-1 (Qualifying) — General Language Knowledge: General Hindi (50) + General English (50) = 100 marks, 90 minutes. Minimum 30 marks required to qualify; marks NOT counted in final merit.
  3. Main Examination — Paper-2 (Merit-determining) — Technical Subject: 100 marks, 180 minutes. Minimum 33% to qualify. Negative marking 0.2. Shortlisting at 5× vacancies for PET, category-wise on merit.

  2. Click on the link for Advt. No. 07/2026 — ASI Technical.
  3. In Part-1 Registration, enter name, nationality, mobile, email, Bihar domicile, reservation category, gender and date of birth.
  4. Pay the application fee of Rs 100 online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI. You will receive a Registration Number and Password via SMS / Email.
  5. In Part-2 Login, fill in father’s / husband’s name, mother’s name, address and educational qualification.
  6. Upload colour passport-size photograph (15-25 KB, white background) and signatures in English & Hindi (15-25 KB).
  7. Verify every detail carefully — once submitted, the application cannot be modified.
  8. Submit the form and print the acknowledgement on A4 paper for your records.

Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications by the same candidate lead to rejection of all of them.
