CBSE Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the specific educational qualification and age limit as on the closing date 22.12.2025.

Educational Qualification

  • Assistant Secretary: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Academics/Training/Skill Ed.): Post Graduate Degree in relevant discipline with 55% marks. Desirable: B.Ed/M.Ed, NET/SLET/Ph.D.
  • Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree with Economics/Commerce/Accounts/Finance etc. OR MBA (Finance)/CA/ICWA.
  • Superintendent: Bachelor’s Degree + Working knowledge of Computers.
  • Junior Translation Officer: Master’s Degree in Hindi with English (or vice versa) OR Diploma/Certificate in Translation.
  • Junior Accountant: 12th Class with Accountancy/Business Studies/Economics/Commerce/Taxation etc. + Typing Speed (35 w.p.m. English or 30 w.p.m. Hindi).
  • Junior Assistant: 12th Class or equivalent + Typing Speed (35 w.p.m. English or 30 w.p.m. Hindi).

Age Limit (As on 22.12.2025)

  • Assistant Secretary / Accounts Officer: Max 35 Years
  • Asst. Director / Superintendent / Jr. Translation Officer: Max 30 Years
  • Junior Accountant / Junior Assistant: Max 27 Years
  • Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST (5 Years), OBC-NCL (3 Years), PwBD, and Women (10 Years).

Salary and Benefits: Pay Scale Structure

Selected candidates will be placed in the respective Pay Levels as per the 7th CPC.

  • Group A Posts (Assistant Secretary/Director/Accounts Officer): Pay Level-10 (Entry Pay typically ₹56,100 + Allowances).
  • Group B Posts (Superintendent/Jr. Translation Officer): Pay Level-6 (Entry Pay typically ₹35,400 + Allowances).
  • Group C Posts (Jr. Accountant/Jr. Assistant): Pay Level-2 (Entry Pay typically ₹19,900 + Allowances).

Allowances include DA, HRA, TA, etc., making the total emoluments very attractive.

Selection Process Explained

The selection process varies by post but generally includes the following stages:

  • Tier-1 Examination: Objective MCQ based preliminary screening.
  • Tier-2 Examination: Written Examination (Objective/Descriptive).
  • Interview: For Group A posts.
  • Skill Test: Typing test for Junior Assistant and Junior Accountant (Qualifying nature).
  • Document Verification: For all shortlisted candidates.

Note: There is a provision for negative marking (1 mark deducted for wrong answer) in Tier-1.
