Educational Qualification
Every applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and must have knowledge of the local language. For Medical Officer, Pharmacist and Public Health Manager posts, you must also read, write and speak Bengali.

Special conditions to note:
- CHA (Urban) is for women only, and you must be a permanent resident of Purba Medinipur, not just West Bengal.
- For BHMS candidates, the qualification must be in the second schedule of the Homoeopathic Central Council Act 1973, with registration in Part-A of the West Bengal State Register or Part I of the Central Register. Graded BHMS degrees are included.
- The notice says all essential criteria must be completed on or before the first date of online application (4 November 2026). Experience is counted till that date too.
- Experience counts only after you got the required qualification. Experience during the course, and Ph.D / M.Phil period, are not counted.
Preferred or desirable: MD in Homoeopathy, Ayurveda or Unani gets additional marks for Medical Officer. B-Pharm and M-Pharm get additional marks for Pharmacist. Master’s in Physiotherapy is preferred for Multi Rehabilitation Worker. For STLS, one year in any National Health Programme is desirable. For STS, MSW and one year in any National Health Programme are desirable.
