ECIL GET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Aspiring candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the ECIL GET positions:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a full-time four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a first-class or minimum 60% aggregate marks [50% marks (aggregate) for SC/ST candidates] in the relevant branch/discipline from an institute or university recognized by AICTE or the Government of India. 
    • Final year/semester students awaiting their final results are also eligible to apply, provided they have secured the requisite first-class marks in aggregate up to the pre-final examination. They must produce their Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Consolidated mark sheet at the time of Document Verification. 
    • Candidates with dual/combination degrees like Automobile Eng., Mechatronics, Construction Eng., etc., along with the specified disciplines, are not eligible. No equivalent qualifications will be accepted. 
    • Wherever CGPA/OGPA/DGPA or Letter Grade is awarded, its equivalent percentage of marks must be indicated in the application form as per the norms adopted by the University/Institute. Proof of these norms must be submitted during document verification. 
  • Age Limit: The upper age limit for Unreserved (UR) candidates is 27 years as of April 30, 2025. 
    • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates. 
    • PwD candidates (degree of disability 40% or above) get a relaxation of 10 years. 
    • Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation. 
    • Ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation equivalent to the service rendered in Defence plus three years. 
  • Experience: No specific prior experience is required for the Graduate Engineer Trainee positions.

ECIL GET Salary and Benefits 2025

Selected candidates will join as Trainee Officers with an attractive pay scale and benefits:

  • Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000. 
  • Training Period: One year as a Trainee Officer. 
  • Absorption: Upon successful completion of the one-year training, candidates will be absorbed as Officers in the same pay scale (₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000) with a 3% annual increment. 
  • Allowances and Perks: Besides the basic pay, GETs are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), fringe benefits, Provident Fund, leave, etc., as per company rules. 
  • Bond: Selected candidates will be required to execute a Surety & Indemnity Bond for ₹4 Lakhs to serve the company for a period of 4 years. 

ECIL GET Selection Process 2025

The selection process for ECIL Graduate Engineer Trainees will be a two-stage process:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT):
    • All eligible candidates will be called for the CBT. 
    • The CBT will be of Multiple Choice Type with 100 questions to be answered in 120 minutes. 
    • Each correct answer carries 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer. 
    • The question paper will be in English & Hindi. 
    • The syllabus will primarily focus on objective type questions from the core engineering subjects of the respective disciplines. 
    • CBT will be conducted in cities including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata. 
  2. Personal Interview:
    • Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview based on their performance in the CBT, in a ratio of 1:4. 
    • The weightage for CBT and Personal Interview is 85:15, respectively. 
    • Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in each stage and 60% overall to be considered for selection. Relaxations apply for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per norms. 
    • Personal Interviews will be held in Hyderabad. 
  3. Document Verification:
    • Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification before the Personal Interview on the same day. 
    • Candidates need to produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies.

  2. Navigate to the “Careers” section and then to “Current Job Openings.” 
  3. Find the advertisement for “RECRUITMENT OF GRADUATE ENGINEER TRAINEE (GET)” (Advt. No.: 06/2025). 
  4. Read the complete advertisement carefully to ensure eligibility. 
  5. Click on the online application link. The online application process will be operational from May 16, 2025 (14:00 hrs.) to June 5, 2025 (14:00 hrs.). 
  6. Fill in the application form with accurate details.
  7. Upload your recent color passport size photograph (4X3 cm, blue background, less than 100kb) and signature (less than 50kb), both in ‘jpeg’ format. 
  8. Pay the application fee (if applicable) through SBI Collect (online or offline mode). 
  9. After successful submission, a system-generated application number will be assigned. Retain this for future reference. 
  10. Take a printout of the registered online application form. 
  11. Affix a recent color passport size photograph on the printout and sign it. 
  12. Keep this printout and self-attested copies of all relevant documents ready for submission at the time of document verification. 

ECIL GET Application Fees 2025

The application fee details are as follows:

  • General/OBC (including non-creamy layer)/EWS candidates: ₹1,000 (Rupees One Thousand only). Applicable bank charges/taxes are to be borne by the candidates. 
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Officers from Defence/Regular ECIL employees (including Fixed Term Contract currently engaged with ECIL within stipulated age limit): Exempted from payment of Application Fee. 

The fee should be remitted through SBI Collect. No other mode of payment will be accepted.
