Experience must come from a government hospital or a recognised private hospital, not a private clinic. Senior Resident private hospital experience needs a Hospital Registration Certificate under the Clinical Establishment Act.
An MBBS doctor without a PG degree can be considered as Senior Resident only if postgraduate doctors are not available, and only for 1 year. Preference goes to PG-qualified candidates.
Not eligible: anyone who has already worked 3 years as Senior Resident under the Central Residency Scheme cannot apply for the Senior Resident post.
Read the experience rule slowly. A PG Diploma holder needs two more years of experience than a PG Degree holder for the Specialist post, and a private clinic does not count at all.
