There is also a state-schooling condition: a Group-C candidate must have passed matriculation, 10+2 or graduation, and a Group-D candidate middle, matriculation or 10+2, from a school or institution situated in Himachal Pradesh. Bonafide Himachalis are exempt, and Court Manager, being Group-B, carries no such requirement. The two Group-D posts alone give 12th pass candidates 154 openings.

Age Limit

Age is reckoned as on 1 January 2026. ⚠️ The table below applies to every post except Court Manager, whose band is a flat 25 to 35 years with no relaxation of any kind.

The 5-year relaxation is admissible only to bonafide SC, ST, OBC and benchmark-disabled candidates of Himachal Pradesh. EWS pays the ₹300 reserved-category fee but stays in the 18–45 band.

These levels apply to regular vacancies only. Contract and daily-wages vacancies carry no pay level — the notification says only that wages will be as fixed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh from time to time. Note that these are Himachal Pradesh matrix levels, not central 7th CPC levels.

For the Peon group, shortlisting in the 1:3 ratio is done on your 10+2 marks alone, converted to an 85-mark scale (50% in 10+2 = 42.5 marks). The further 15 marks for the documents you uploaded are awarded only after you are shortlisted, and the final merit list is the sum of both.
