Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must strictly meet the following eligibility norms as on 31.12.2025 to apply for the IOCL Apprenticeship 2026.
Educational Qualification
- Technician Apprentice: 3 Years Regular Full-time Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Trade Apprentice (ITI): Matric (10th) with Regular Full-Time 2 Years ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT in Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist.
- Graduate Apprentice: Regular Full-Time Graduate Degree (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Trade Apprentice (Data Entry Operator):
- Fresher: Class 12th Pass (but below Graduate).
- Skill Certificate Holder: Class 12th Pass + Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate.

Salary and Benefits
Candidates selected for the IOCL Apprenticeship will receive a consolidated monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/1992 and Apprentices Rules. This ensures financial support during the training period.
- Stipend Components: The stipend includes the prescribed government rate plus an additional amount of ₹2,500/- per month paid by IOCL as miscellaneous expenses.
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, a part of the stipend (approx ₹4500/₹4000) is paid directly by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) into the bank account, and the remaining balance is paid by IOCL. Trade Apprentices receive the full amount from IOCL.
