Eligibility Criteria — ISRO SAC Apprentice 2026

Eligibility depends on which apprentice type you are applying for. Read your category carefully before attending the walk-in.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate Apprentice: B.E., B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Com or B.Lib (or equivalent) in the relevant field with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
  • Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering / Technology in the relevant field with first class from a recognised State Board of Technical Education.
  • Trade Apprentice: SSC / Matriculation (10th) and ITI (NTC/STC) in the relevant trade.

Graduate and Technician candidates must be from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, or DNH & DD. Trade apprentices must hold an ITI from a recognised institute of Gujarat State. Only candidates who passed in or after July 2023 are eligible. Age Limit

  • Post codes 01 to 08 (Graduate/Technician): 18 to 28 years
  • Post codes 09 to 16 (Trade): 18 to 35 years

Age is counted as on the date of joining. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC (NCL) and 5 years for SC/ST candidates applies, with PwBD relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Stipend and Salary — ISRO SAC Apprentice 2026

The apprenticeship is fully paid, and the monthly stipend is fixed as follows: Graduate Apprentice – ₹12,300, Technician Apprentice – ₹10,900, and Trade Apprentice – ₹10,560 (COPA) or ₹11,040 (other trades). The stipend is paid every month for the full one-year training period.

While this is a training programme and not a permanent job, the real reward is the hands-on experience at ISRO and a recognised apprenticeship certificate that strengthens your career. Please note that apprentices have no claim for permanent employment at SAC or any other ISRO centre after the training ends.

Selection Process — How Candidates Will Be Chosen

The selection is very simple and is based on the first come, first serve principle. There is no written exam. Here is how it works:

  1. Eligible candidates register on the correct apprenticeship portal before attending.
  2. On the walk-in day, candidates reach the venue and enter their details in the attendance sheet to confirm their order of appearance.
  3. Documents are verified, and seats are filled in order of arrival until the limited seats are over.

How to Apply for ISRO SAC Apprentice 2026

The application is offline and in person at the SAC-ISRO venue. Email or postal applications are not accepted. Follow these steps:

  1. Register on the portal — NATS portal for Graduate and Technician apprentices, and the Apprenticeship India portal for Trade apprentices (links in Essential Links below).
  2. Fill in the attached application format given with the official notification.
  3. Attend the walk-in at Building No. 30-D (Recruitment Section), SAC-ISRO, Jodhpur Tekra, Ahmedabad – 380015 between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
  4. Submit your application in person and enter your details in the attendance sheet.

Carry self-attested copies along with the originals of the following:

  • Aadhaar Card and PAN Card
  • Proof of date of birth and SSC (10th) mark-sheet & certificate
  • Mark-sheets & certificate of qualifying exam (Degree / Diploma / ITI)
  • Latest OBC (NCL FY 2026-27) / Caste / EWS / Disability certificate, if applicable
  • Local Police Verification cum Character Certificate and Blood Group report
