Eligibility Criteria for MPSC Recruitment 2025

Candidates must meticulously check their eligibility regarding educational qualifications and age limits before applying. The crucial date for acquiring the requisite educational qualification is the date on which the result of the final examination for such qualification/degree is declared by the University/Board/Institution, and this must be as on the last date fixed for submission of applications. 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Officer:
    • Essential: (1) B.V.Sc & A.H Degree in Veterinary Science from any recognized University. 
    • Essential: (2) Must possess recognized Veterinary qualification included in the first or second Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 and registered with the State Veterinary Council/ Veterinary Council of India as laid down in Schedule II (a). 
  • Computer Programmer:
    • Essential: (a) B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Electronics & Communication. OR
    • Essential: (b) Masters Degree in Computer Engineering/IT/Computer Applications. 
    • Desirable: Knowledge of Khasi, Jaintia or Garo language. 
  • Junior Co-operative Officer:
    • Essential: Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University. 
  • Junior Karate Coach:
    • Essential: (i) 10+2 in any stream. 
    • Essential: (ii) Candidates awarded 3rd Dan Black Belt holders and above organized by the Karate Association of India will be treated at par with the diploma in Sports Coaching in the concern discipline. 
  • Junior Badminton Coach:
    • Essential: 10+2 in any stream with Diploma in Sport Coaching from NSNIS Patiala or its subsidiary Regional Institute/LNIPE/any other Govt. recognized Institute in the concerned discipline. 
  • Stenographer Grade-III:
    • Essential: Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University with minimum speed of 80 words per minute (W.P.M) in Short hand. 
    • Note: Candidates who previously applied for Stenographer Grade-III vide Advt No. 09/2025 Dated, the 12th May, 2025, need not apply again. 

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):

  • For Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Officer, Computer Programmer, Junior Co-operative Officer & Stenographer Grade-III (Post Codes 01, 02, 03 & 06):
    • Candidates should have attained the age of 18 years and not be older than 32 years. 
    • The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. 
  • For Junior Karate Coach & Junior Badminton Coach (Post Codes 04 & 05):
    • Candidates should have attained the age of 18 years and not be more than 40 years of age. 
  • General Age Relaxations:
    • There is no age bar for regular Government employees who entered Government service within the prescribed age limit. 
    • For Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) as per Government notification NO. PER (AR).150/88/560 Dated 18th January, 2023: 
      • Direct Recruitment to Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ Posts: Relaxable by 10 years (15 years for STs/SCs). 
      • Direct Recruitment to Group ‘A’ & ‘B’ Posts (other than through open competitive examination): Relaxable by 5 years (10 years for STs/SCs). 
      • Direct Recruitment to Group ‘A’ & ‘B’ Posts (through open competitive examination): Relaxable by 10 years (15 years for STs/SCs).

MPSC Selection Process 2025

The selection process varies depending on the post: 

  • Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Officer: The Commission will conduct recruitment through Direct Interview
  • Computer Programmer: Selection will be based on a Screening Test (MCQ pattern) with the following subjects: 
    • General English: 50 marks 
    • General Knowledge & Aptitude: 100 marks 
    • Computer Science: 200 marks 
    • Total: 350 marks
  • Junior Co-operative Officer: Selection will be based on a Screening Test (MCQ pattern) with the following subjects: 
    • General English: 100 marks 
    • General Knowledge & Aptitude: 100 marks 
    • Mathematics: 100 marks 
    • Total: 300 marks
  • Junior Badminton Coach / Junior Karate Coach: Depending on the number of applications, the Commission may decide to hold a Direct Interview. However, if a sizeable number of applications are received, a Screening Test may be conducted to shortlist candidates. Candidates will be informed accordingly. 
  • Stenographer Grade-III: The selection method involves: 
    1. Stenography Test (Qualifying Nature):
      • Dictation in English for 5 minutes at 80 W.P.M. 
      • Transcription: 1 hour allowed for transcribing and typing the shorthand record. 
      • Candidates with more than 7.5% errors will not be considered qualified. (Detailed syllabus available on mpsc.nic.in )
    2. Written Examination (for Merit):
      • English composition of 1-hour duration. (Detailed syllabus available on mpsc.nic.in )
    3. No Personal Interview for this post. 
      • Only candidates who qualify the Stenography test will be eligible for the written examination. 

Personal Interview (General): For posts involving a Screening Test/Main Written Examination, only those candidates who pass will be eligible for the Personal Interview. The ratio of candidates called for the Personal Interview will be decided by the MPSC. Candidates must produce all required original documents relating to their educational qualifications, date of birth, caste, community, and other certificates to be deemed qualified for the Personal Interview.

  1. One-Time Registration (for new users): If you are applying for the first time through MPSC’s online mode, you need to complete a one-time registration process. Carefully read the instructions on the webpage before proceeding. 
  2. Login (for registered users): Candidates who have already registered on the Commission’s website can log in and apply directly against the advertised posts. 
  3. Update Profile: All candidates are requested to check and update their profile before applying. 
  4. Find the “Online Application” Icon: Click on this icon on the MPSC website. 
  5. Select the Advertisement: Choose Advt No.10/2025 and the post you wish to apply for.
  6. Fill the Application Form: Enter all required details accurately. Ensure your eligibility for the post.
