    • Experience: Minimum 3 years as AE/Manager or 5 years as JE/Assistant Manager in the operation and maintenance of 210 MW or higher capacity coal-based thermal power plants.
  • Assistant Engineer (AE) – Electronics (P03):
    • Regular B.E./B.Tech. or AMIE in Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control Engineering.

The Selection Process: How to Get Selected

The selection process is designed to be fair and transparent, ensuring that the most deserving candidates are chosen.

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): The primary stage of selection is a 100-mark online examination.
    • The test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark.
    • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
    • The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
    • For technical posts (AE, JE, etc.): 75 questions will be from the relevant engineering discipline, and 25 questions will cover General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Reasoning.
    • For non-technical posts: All 100 questions will be based on General Knowledge, English, Maths, Basic Computer, and Reasoning.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
    • This is applicable only for Security Officer and Security Guard posts.
    • Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for a PET, which includes an 800-meter run. Qualifying this test is mandatory.
  3. Document Verification:
    • Candidates who clear the CBT (and PET, where applicable) will be shortlisted for document verification based on merit.
    • You will need to produce all original documents to validate your eligibility.
