The selection process for the Assistant Commissioner (Animal Husbandry) will involve the following stages:

  1. Scrutiny of Applications: The MPSC will scrutinize all applications received. The educational qualifications and experience mentioned are minimum, and merely possessing them does not guarantee a call for an interview. 
  2. Screening Test (If Applicable): If the number of applications received is large and it’s not feasible to interview all eligible candidates, the Commission may conduct a screening test to shortlist candidates for the interview. The criteria for shortlisting could be higher educational qualifications/experience or other suitable criteria. If a screening test is conducted, the qualification and/or experience will not be relaxed. The syllabus, medium of examination, and other details of the screening test (if held) will be published on the MPSC website. 
  3. Interview:
    • If a screening test is held, the final merit list will be based on the combined marks of the screening test and the interview. 
    • If no screening test is conducted, the selection will be based solely on interview marks. 
    • Candidates must secure a minimum of 41% marks in the interview to be considered for recommendation. 
  4. Document Verification: Candidates will be required to produce original documents for verification. 

The selection process will adhere to the Assistant Commissioner, Animal Husbandry, Group-A (Service Entry Rules) dated November 06, 1997, and subsequent amendments by the government and MPSC.
