Eligibility Criteria: Do You Have What It Takes?

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess the specified qualification from a recognized Indian university or institute.
Graduate Apprentices:
- Graduate (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical): B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg.) in the respective engineering discipline.
- Graduate (E&C): B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- Graduate (Computer Science): B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg.) in Computer Science Engg./Information Technology.
- HR Executive: MBA.
- Finance Executive: B.Com.
- CSR Executive: Bachelor’s Degree with Social Work or Rural Development or CSR or equivalent.
- Law Executive: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) (min. 03 years) OR 05 years Integrated LLB Degree.
- PR Executive: Bachelor’s Degree with Mass Communication / Journalism and Mass Communication.
- Rajbhasha Assistant: M.A. (Hindi) with proficient knowledge of English or M.A. (English) with proficient knowledge of Hindi.
- Nursing Assistant: B.Sc. Nursing.
- Physiotherapy Assistant: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T).
- Safety Assistant: PG Diploma in Industrial Safety, Health & Environment Engg.
Diploma Apprentices:
- Diploma (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/E&C): Diploma in the respective engineering discipline.
- Diploma (Nursing): Diploma in Nursing.
- Diploma (Laboratory Technology): Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Diploma (Pharmacy): Diploma in Pharmacy.
- Diploma (Hospitality/Hotel Management): Diploma in Hospitality or Hotel Management.
- Diploma (Safety): Diploma in Fire Safety & Hazard Management.
ITI Apprentices:
- ITI Certificate: Passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institute.
- Trades Include: Electrician, Plumber, Surveyor, Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Carpenter, Computer Operator, Draughtsman (Civil/Mechanical), Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (Hindi), Health & Sanitary Inspector.

Salary & Benefits: More Than Just a Stipend

The monthly stipend is structured to support you throughout your training:
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000 per month
- Diploma Apprentices: ₹13,500 per month
- ITI Apprentices: ₹12,000 per month
But that’s not all! Here’s what makes the package even more attractive:
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): In addition to the stipend, Graduate apprentices will receive an extra ₹4,500 and Diploma apprentices will receive ₹4,000 directly from the Government of India under the NATS scheme.
- Accommodation: Apprentices may be provided with shared bachelor accommodation at the training location. If accommodation is not available, you will receive an additional ₹2,500 per month to cover housing expenses.
- Leave Policy: Apprentices are entitled to 12 days of Casual Leave and 15 days of Medical Leave per year, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

Selection Process: Merit-Based and Transparent
NHPC follows a completely transparent and merit-based selection process. There is no written exam or interview, which means your academic performance is the key to securing a spot!
The selection will be based on the marks obtained in your qualifying academic programs.
- For Graduate Apprentices: 20% weightage to 10th marks, 20% to 12th/Diploma marks, and 60% to the aggregate marks in your Engineering/Graduation/PG degree.
- For Diploma Apprentices: 30% weightage to 10th marks and 70% to Diploma marks.
- For ITI Apprentices: 30% weightage to 10th marks and 70% to ITI marks.
Preference will be given in the following order:
- Candidates from Project Affected Families (PAFs) of the respective NHPC unit.
- Candidates from the district(s) where the NHPC unit is located.
- Candidates from the state/UT where the NHPC unit is located.
- Candidates from other states/UTs.

Step 1: Register on the National Apprenticeship Portals
- For ITI Trades: First, you must register yourself as a candidate on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal.
- For Graduate/Diploma Trades: You must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
- Complete your profile on the respective portal and upload all necessary documents. Keep your registration number safe.
Step 2: Apply on the NHPC Website
- Once you have your NAPS/NATS registration number, visit the official NHPC website.
