Educational Qualification

  • Primary Trade: NCTVT / NAC in AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant)
  • Feeder Trades (in priority order): IMCP (Instrument Mechanic Chemical Plant), MMCP (Maintenance Mechanic Chemical Plant), LACP (Laboratory Assistant Chemical Plant), PPO (Plant & Power Operator), Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
  • Priority order for call letters: AOCP Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories first → AOCP from Govt/Private with Govt affiliation → other feeder trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories and Govt/Private organisations → candidates from Government ITIs.
  • Compulsory Training: 1-month in-house training on Safe Handling of Explosives & safety norms for AOCP candidates. Other feeder trade candidates must complete 1-month training + 2-month On-Job training before job deployment.

What is the Salary for OFB Chanda DBW 2026?

Selected candidates are engaged as tenure-based contract workers with a daily-wage structure based on monthly basic pay of ₹19,900 + DA. Night shift deployment happens only in case of production exigency. An annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay is granted per year during the tenure (rounded to the next ₹10), subject to satisfactory performance.

  • Basic Pay: ₹19,900 + DA (Skilled category)
  • Daily Remuneration: 1/30th of basic pay per day of 8 hours + Central DA as prevalent
  • Allowances: House Rent Allowance (if company quarter not available), Risk Allowance, Night Duty Allowance (when deployed in night shift)

In-hand monthly remuneration at entry is approximately ₹28,000 – ₹33,000 depending on DA rate, allowances and night shift deployment.

Please note — tenure-based personnel are not entitled to promotions, OT allowance, loans/advances, or other regular-employee privileges. This is a fixed-term contract engagement, not a permanent post.

What is the Selection Process for OFB Chanda DBW 2026?

Selection is a three-stage merit-based process. There is no separate written examination — existing NCTVT (NAC) marks are used along with a Trade Test to prepare the final merit list.

  1. Stage 1 — NCTVT (NAC) Marks Evaluation (80% weightage)
  2. Stage 2 — Trade Test / Practical Test (20% weightage)
  3. Stage 3 — Document Verification for candidates qualifying in order of merit

Merit Calculation: Combined marks — NCTVT (NAC) 80% + Trade Test/Practical Test 20%. Cut-off percentage for calling candidates to Trade Test will be decided by Ordnance Factory Chanda based on total NCTVT marks. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via post and email — no communication through phone/messenger is entertained.

Tie-breaking preference: Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories, followed by other candidates as per the priority order mentioned in the notification.
