PGCIL Salary Structure and Financial Benefits

This recruitment offers a highly attractive compensation package. Understanding the full scope of the salary and benefits is essential as it highlights the financial stability and perks of working with a Maharatna PSU. The remuneration is structured in a pay band system, which means your salary isn’t just a fixed amount but includes a basic pay plus several allowances that increase your in-hand earnings significantly.

For a Field Engineer, the pay band is ₹30,000-3%-1,20,000/-. This means the initial basic pay is ₹30,000. On top of this, you receive Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA), which is revised quarterly to offset inflation, and House Rent Allowance (HRA), which varies based on your city of posting. Additionally, you are entitled to perks at 35% of your basic pay. This comprehensive structure brings the approximate annual Cost to Company (CTC) to ₹8.9 Lakhs.

For a Field Supervisor, the pay band is ₹23,000-3%-1,05,000/-, with an initial basic pay of ₹23,000. Similar to the Engineer post, this includes IDA, HRA, and perks at 35% of the basic pay. This results in an approximate annual CTC of ₹6.8 Lakhs. The “3%” in the pay band signifies an annual increment of 3% on your basic pay upon successful completion of each year of engagement. Other benefits include EPF contributions, Gratuity, medical benefits for self and family, various types of leave, and coverage under a Group Personal Accident Insurance scheme.
