Conditions on Your Qualification
You need a valid pass certificate as on 31 December 2026. Final-year candidates appearing in December 2026 are eligible only if they obtain and submit the pass certificate before 31 December 2026. If your result comes after that date, you are NOT ELIGIBLE. Anyone who has completed three years of Senior Residency in a discipline, or who holds DM/M.Ch., is not eligible for Senior Resident.

The upper age limit is 45 years, counted as on 13 November 2026, using the date of birth in your Matriculation/Secondary certificate only. Overage candidates need not apply.

The syllabus follows the educational qualification and the recruitment rules of your post. Tests are likely in Chandigarh (Tricity), Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad and Kolkata, allotted first-come first-serve, and the city cannot be changed once allotted. A tie is broken first by fewer wrong answers, then by earlier date of birth, then by 10+2 percentage, then by Matric percentage. Being shortlisted does not give any right to selection.

Keep your certificates from Matric onwards, your MCI/DCI registration certificate, category certificate and NOC ready before you start. Apply early, because the notice itself warns against waiting for the last date, and exam cities are allotted on a first-come first-serve basis. PwBD candidates who need a scribe must say so in the online form and arrange their own scribe; PGIMER will not arrange one. Employed candidates may also forward their application through proper channel within 10 days after the last date; the online form is the advance copy. At document verification you must also show all original documents, failing which your candidature for the further process will be cancelled.
