Selection Process Explained

The selection process is designed to evaluate both your sporting achievements and your physical fitness for the police force. The entire process is for a total of 100 marks.

Stage 1: Sports Certificate Evaluation (70 Marks)

Your submitted sports certificates will be evaluated and awarded marks based on the level of your achievement. For example, representing India at the Olympics carries the highest marks (61-70), while winning a medal at the National School Games carries marks in the range of 19-25. Only the certificate with the highest weightage will be considered.

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates whose certificates are verified will be called for a Physical Standard Test (PST). This is a qualifying stage where your height, chest, and weight will be measured as per the required standards.

Stage 3: Sports Trial (30 Marks)

This is the most critical stage where your on-field skills will be tested. A trial will be conducted for your specific sport to assess your technique, fitness, and overall performance. You must score at least 15 marks out of 30 in the trial to qualify.

Note: A minimum of 40 marks out of 100 (Certificates + Trial) is required to be included in the final merit list.
