The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) released Advt No. 08/2026 on 23 June 2026 for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) — Senior Secondary Level 2026. What is the Eligibility for RSSB CET Senior Secondary 2026?
Educational Qualification
You must have passed Senior Secondary (12th) or equivalent. This is one of the most useful 12th pass government jobs routes in Rajasthan. Final-year students could also apply, but they must hold the qualification as the concerned service rules require. For each post, the qualification, age and experience finally follow that service’s own rules.
Age Limit
For the CET, you should be at least 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1 January 2027. The notice says the age rules of each post will apply to that post separately. The main relaxations in the upper age limit are:

Apart from the PwD relaxation, these are non-cumulative — you get only the single highest one. Reserved-category candidates from states other than Rajasthan are treated as General and get no reservation benefit.
Other Conditions
- To qualify the CET you must score at least 40% marks; SC/ST candidates get up to 5% relaxation.
- Clearing the CET does not guarantee a job — you still have to pass the post’s main recruitment exam.
- A candidate having more than two children on or after 1 June 2002 is not eligible for appointment.
- Anyone found using unfair means can be debarred by RSSB permanently or for a set period, besides legal action.
What Salary Can You Expect After RSSB CET 2026?
The CET is only an eligibility test, so it carries no salary of its own. Your pay depends on the post you finally get through that department’s main recruitment, and each post’s separate advertisement will state it.

- If you do not want to answer a question, darken option E. A question left with no circle filled also loses 1/3 marks.
- You get 10 extra minutes to fill the circles. A candidate who leaves more than 10% of questions without any circle darkened will be disqualified.
- If the exam runs in more than one shift, normalization will be used — and the new schedule has six shifts.
- The syllabus covers Rajasthan’s history, art and culture, geography of India and Rajasthan, Indian polity, Rajasthan’s economy, general science, reasoning and mathematics, current affairs, public health, computers, and general Hindi and English.

Applications for RSSB CET Senior Secondary 2026 closed on 23 July 2026, so no new forms can be filled. If you have applied, follow these steps:
- Keep your SSO ID and application number safe — you will need both for the admit card.
- Watch the RSSB website and newspapers; the Board will publish the admit card release date there.
- Download your admit card only from the Recruitment Portal after logging in with your SSO ID. RSSB will not send it by post.
- If you no longer wish to appear, RSSB gives a 3-day withdrawal window about one month before the exam; the Board announces it separately.
- Plan to appear — skipping any two exams of RPSC, RSSB or another Rajasthan recruitment agency in one financial year can block your OTR, restored only after a ₹750 penalty (₹1,500 if blocked again).

What Was the Application Fee for RSSB CET 10+2 Level 2026?
Rajasthan follows a One Time Registration (OTR) fee system. Candidates who had already paid the OTR fee did not have to pay again.
