What to Carry and What Are the Rules for the Forester Walk Test?
Bring these to the test:
- Original Aadhaar card or PAN card
- Two passport-size colour photographs
- Original admit card of the written exam (the order mentions no separate PET/PST admit card)
Follow these rules from the order:
- The test is qualifying. Candidates who fail will not be included in the merit list.
- Candidates who do not take part will have their candidature cancelled.
- There is no separate second chance for absentees. On a government hospital illness certificate or an unavoidable circumstance, informed in writing to the concerned Chief Conservator of Forests before the scheduled date, a second walk-test chance may be considered at competent level.
- Candidates arriving after the scheduled time, or after the walk test has started, will not be allowed to take it.
- Arrange your own shoes for the walk test. Travel to the venue is at your own expense.
The standards remain as in the original notification: men walk 25 km and women 16 km within 4 hours, with height of 163 cm for men and 150 cm for women. Divisional officers’ e-mail IDs are listed on the Rajasthan Forest Department website.
