The SSB Directorate General has put out Annexure ‘A’, headed “List of selected candidates for the post of Constable (GD) under sports quota-2026 Stage-I”, signed by the Commandant (Rectt.) and dated 21 October 2026. It lists 198 roll numbers (S/No 1 to 198) as selected. A separate block, headed “Result of following Roll Numbers have been kept withheld”, holds 6 roll numbers whose result is not declared in this list. Both counts sit against the 404 posts advertised.
The list gives roll numbers only. It shows no names, categories, marks or cut-off, and no joining or medical instructions. Open the PDF and look for your 10-digit roll number, which starts with 20267. The advertisement says Stage-II (for other eligible candidates) is held only if vacancies remain unfilled after Stage-I, and this list announces no Stage-II date. When we opened the View Result page of the SSB recruitment portal, its table showed “Data Not Available”, so the PDF is the document to rely on.

Educational Qualification
The basic education bar is intentionally low so that talented sportspersons are not blocked. Candidates had to meet both of the following:
- Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Sports achievement in any one of the categories below within the past 02 years (cut-off date: 07 June 2026):
- Represented State or India in National or International competitions
- Medal winner in Senior or Junior National Championships
- Medal winner in Khelo India Youth/Winter/Para Games (above 18 years)

- Medal winner in School Games Federation of India (SGFI)

Selected candidates will draw their pay in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix at Level-3, which means a basic pay range of ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month, plus other allowances as admissible in the Force.

What is the Selection Process for SSB Constable Sports Quota 2026?
There is no written examination. The selection happens through a two-stage process:
Stage-I (For International Players & Top National Medalists)
For candidates who have participated in International events or won a medal up to 3rd place in National Championships, the process is shorter:

- Marks awarded as per medal/participation level
- Physical Standard Test (PST) — height, chest, BMI verification
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
