Salary & Benefits: UKSSSC President & Member Posts
The remuneration for these positions is attractive and varies according to the post:
- President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission: Will receive the salary and other allowances permissible to a sitting Judge of the High Court of the State. If the appointee is a pensioner, the gross amount of pension drawn will be deducted from their salary.
- Judicial Member & General Member, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission: Will receive a salary equivalent to the minimum level of the pay scale of an Additional Secretary of the State Government, along with other permissible allowances. An annual increment of 3% will be applicable to the salary. Pensioners appointed will have their gross pension amount deducted from their salary.
- President, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission: Entitled to salary and allowances as admissible to a District Judge in the super time scale. An annual increment of 3% will be applicable. Pensioners appointed will have their gross pension amount deducted from their salary.
- Member, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission: Will receive a salary equivalent to the minimum level of the pay scale of a Deputy Secretary of the State Government, along with other permissible allowances. UKSSSC Recruitment Selection Process 2025
The selection process for these posts will involve a competitive examination conducted in offline mode, followed by an interview.
- Written Examination:
- The exam will consist of two papers.
- Paper 1: Objective type, 100 marks, 2 hours duration.
- Subjects include: General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Knowledge of the Constitution of India, and Knowledge of various consumer-related laws as specified in the schedule.
- Paper 2: Descriptive type, 100 marks, 3 hours duration.
- Includes: An essay on topics chosen from trade and commerce, consumer-related issues, or public affairs. A case study related to consumer matters to test analytical and reasoned drafting abilities.
- Important Note on Written Exam:
- The medium of the written competitive examination will be Hindi and English.
- Evaluation of Paper 2 will only occur if a candidate secures a minimum of 50% marks in Paper 1. The qualifying mark for each paper is 50%.
