The wait for the UP PCS 2026 Prelims date is over. As per the UPPSC Exam Calendar 2026 (notice dated 30 January 2026), the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 is proposed for 6 December 2026 (Sunday). The Commission calls every date in this calendar a proposed date and says it may change in special circumstances, so treat 6 December as tentative and keep an eye on the UPPSC website. The online application window for this exam closed on 3 August 2026. Your exam date, centre and roll number will reach you through the e-Admit Card; UPPSC has not released it yet, and once a centre is allotted, no change of centre or venue is allowed. Remember that you must appear in both papers of the Prelims — a candidate who misses either paper is disqualified. UPPSC PCS 2026: Last Date Extended to 3 August — Latest Update
Good news if the UPPSC website was not letting you submit your form. The Commission has issued a notice dated 27 July 2026 extending the last date for depositing the online examination fee in the bank and for submitting the online application for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) (General/Special Selection) Examination 2026 from 27 July 2026 to 3 August 2026. The reason given is heavy server load and the Commission’s website not working smoothly. The window to correct or modify your submitted online application and settle the fee has also been extended to 10 August 2026. That extended window has since closed.

Educational Qualification
- The basic requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognised University.
