Nationality
- Only citizens of India are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification (for Assistant Teachers for Classes IX & X)
- Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate or Post Graduate degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent).
- AND Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

Selection Process: The Path to Becoming an Assistant Teacher
The selection process for the 2nd SLST (AT), 2025 will involve multiple stages:
- Written Examination:
- A written examination will be held, tentatively in the first week of September 2025. The exact date(s) will be notified later.
- Admit cards for the SLST will be available for download from the official website.
- Interview:
- Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for an interview.
- The tentative schedule for interviews is from the 1st week to the 3rd week of November 2025.
- Panel Publication & Counselling:
- Based on performance in the written test and interview, a panel of selected candidates will be published, tentatively on November 24, 2025.
