Educational Qualification
- Most posts (MTS, Mazdoor, Forest Guard, Driver, etc.): Passed Secondary School Examination (10th standard) from a recognised Board or Institution.
- Technical posts (Engine Dinghy Operator, Draughtsman, Surveyor, etc.): 10th pass plus a relevant ITI / Diploma and, in some cases, a few years of work experience.
- Driver posts: 10th pass with a valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle.

What is the Salary for A&N Matric Level 2026 Posts?
The pay is fixed under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, from Pay Level-1 to Level-5, depending on the post.
- Pay Level-1 (most posts like MTS, Mazdoor, Lascar): ₹18,000 – ₹56,900
- Pay Level-2 (Driver, Engine Dinghy Operator, etc.): ₹19,900 – ₹63,200
- Higher posts (Level-3 to Level-5): pay increases accordingly

What is the Selection Process for A&N Matric Level 2026?
Selection is through an online Tablet Based Test (TBT), followed by a qualifying skill/physical test where needed, and document verification.
Tablet Based Test (TBT)
The online test carries 150 questions and 150 marks, with a duration of 120 minutes. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Tier-II (Physical / Skill / Trade Test)
Wherever a Physical Standard/Endurance Test or Skill/Trade Test is prescribed for a post, it is conducted after the TBT and is only of qualifying nature. Final selection is based on merit in the TBT.
