The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has now published the full Detailed Notification No. 07/2026 for 166 Group-I posts. The biggest share goes to Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) (36), then Divisional Development Officer (35) and Deputy Registrar (16), plus Deputy Collector, District Educational Officer and eight other services. Pay starts at ₹54,060 and goes up to ₹1,54,980. If you want government jobs in Andhra Pradesh at officer level, this is the one.
Online applications are open from 6 October 2026 to 27 October 2026 (11:59 P.M.), and the Screening Test is on 24 January 2027. Almost every post needs only a degree. Notice the gaps. Deputy Collector has no ST, EWS or BC-B to BC-E seat, and Post Codes 07 and 10 are OC only. If your category is missing from your post’s row, that post has no reserved seat for you, and you compete on open merit. Post Code 04 is a State cadre post; every other post follows the 95% local reservation of the Presidential Order 2025.

Horizontal reservation for women (33⅓%), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and Meritorious Sports Persons (3%) also applies. PBD reservation does not apply to Post Codes 03 and 04, and it is limited to HH and OH for 02, HH for 06 and OH for 10.

So twelve post codes are open to any graduate looking for a government job. Only DSP (Communications) needs one of those three engineering branches. You must hold the degree as on 06/10/2026, the date of the Detailed Notification. Distance or Open University degrees count only if recognised by the Distance Education Council, and a distance B.E./B.Tech counts only if AICTE-approved.

Ex-Servicemen and NCC Instructors must stay within the maximum age even after the deduction, and the relaxation is not available to anyone released from the armed forces by dismissal or discharge for misconduct or inefficiency. Employees of corporations and municipalities do not get the government-employee relaxation.

The notification prints only these scales and lists no separate allowances. Interestingly, the highest scale goes to Divisional Development Officer, which also has the second-largest number of seats. When you fill post preferences later, think about the scale and the type of work together.

To clear the Telugu and English papers you need 40% (OC / Sports / EWS), 35% (BC) or 30% (SC / ST / PBD) in each, and the same percentages apply as the minimum aggregate. Write all five counted papers in one medium — English, Telugu or Urdu — because mixing languages makes the candidature invalid. Start early with our syllabus and exam pattern guides. A practical tip: the Screening Test only filters candidates, but with fifty candidates per seat moving ahead, you still need a strong score to reach Mains. Pay online through the payment gateway using Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card. IPOs and Demand Drafts are not accepted. Your exemption is worked out from the details in your OTPR, such as community and White Card, and these cannot be changed after payment.
